Beth joined Kieckhafer, Schiffer & Company in 2000 as a manager bringing her extensive experience in managing, planning, and conducting compliance and other audits. Beth has now expanded her ability to serve closely held and venture-backed companies. She was admitted to the partnership in 2009. Since joining KS&Co she has developed an expertise in the area of equity compensation evaluation, accounting, and presentation as well as revenue recognition issues, and other issues associated with emerging and developing companies. Over the last several years, Beth has worked closely with a privately held company in their development of a stock option valuation and tracking software product, serving as an advisor on related accounting matters.
In addition, Beth has been instrumental in the development of the firm’s in-house training program for all attest employees. This includes developing new programs and presenting courses on both accounting and auditing topics. The training is designed to educate incoming staff as well as expand the knowledge base of more experienced staff.
Beth was born and raised in Southern California. She attended Bemidji State University in Minnesota, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1990. Throughout college, Beth gained practical business experience by holding various accounting and business positions with a California insurance agency and the Small Business Development Center at Bemidji State University.
Upon graduation, Beth joined a public accounting firm in Orange County as a staff accountant. She became a California Certified Public Accountant in 1992. Over the course of her tenure at that firm, she advanced from an entry-level staff position to the manager level. Her experience included working in both the audit and tax fields. Beth has managed the tax compliance and planning for numerous entities. She has experience in providing in-depth financial analysis including cash flow analysis, projections, forecasting, etc. Additionally, she has served on the United Way Finance Committee.
Beth spends time away from the office with her husband, Randy and their two children at their home in Laguna Niguel. The family is involved with the YMCA and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
