Heidi Ruddlesdin joined Kieckhafer Schiffer & Co in May 2009 as our Director of R&D Tax Services. Prior to Heidi joining the firm, she worked for Deloitte LLP’s National R&D (Research and Development) Tax Services Group as a senior manager in charge of the Pacific Northwest R&D practice. Prior to joining Deloitte, Heidi was the Western region research credit leader at Arthur Andersen.

Heidi has more than fifteen years of Big4 public tax and accounting experience, with twelve years focusing in the research tax credit area. She has experience with both public and private enterprises. Heidi has extensive experience in identifying qualified research credit activities and expenses and developing documentation and providing support for clients in audits performed by the Internal Revenue Service and state taxing authorities.

She has co-authored two articles for Tax Notes on the regulations concerning the research credit and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oregon Society of Public Accountants.

When not working, Heidi enjoys spending time hiking, reading and spending time with her husband, Bradford.
