Mark has over 20 years experience in public accounting and also six years experience in private industry as a chief financial officer. As Practice Director, Mark’s responsibility is to ensure that our attest clients receive the highest possible service from a technical and client interaction standpoint.   

Prior to joining KS&Co. in 2008, Mark spent 20 years with Arthur Andersen in the attest practice, including seven years as a partner. During his tenure in the Los Angeles, Honolulu, Silicon Valley and Irvine offices he served clients in a wide range of industries ranging from start-up to middle market, including public and private, and closely-held to venture-backed.

Mark's clients have spanned many industries, including service, manufacturing and wholesale/distribution. Mark was in charge of the Arthur Anderson real estate audit practice in the Irvine office and firm wide real estate partner executive team.  His clients included many homebuilders, developers, and owners.  He also developed and taught industry training within the firm. In addition to audit services, Mark has consulted on a variety of business matters, including initial and secondary equity and debt offerings and mergers and acquisitions. During his career at Andersen, he led the audit methodology reengineering team for the southwest region.

Subsequent to leaving Andersen, Mark joined a start-up construction firm as a principal and chief financial officer. In that role, he created internal and investor reporting tools, as well as tools for budgeting and cash management. Mark also negotiated two acquisitions and was responsible for various operational matters. Through this experience, he has enhanced his ability to look at our services through the eyes of the consumer.

Mark also serves as the CFO of KS&Co, overseeing our financial function and certain operational areas.
